I'll add to all the other comments about how great this mug is. I got one a few years ago and quickly realized that if I put my coffee in at full temperature right after brewing that it was still too hot to drink at the end of the day. I know it sounds like hyperbole, but this mug really is that efficient at heat retention. I burned my mouth a few times when drinking coffee in the afternoon that I'd poured into the mug at 6:30am. You really can't tell how hot the contents are by feeling the outside of the mug. It will get a little warm around the edge of the lid, where the least amount of insulation is and thus the greatest heat transfer, but I'd pick it up after leaving it in my cold car all day and the metal body would feel cool to the touch while the contents were still piping hot.
I also became very comfortable locking the mechanism and throwing the mug in my bag with laptop, papers, etc. since it never leaked. One caveat is that if you take a drink and close the lid while some liquid is still in the top spout area, that little bit of liquid can leak out from under the locked cap. I never had anything leak out from inside the bottle part though.
