Not necessarily a comment regarding this model specifically, but I can attest to Zojirushi's quality. My SO and I use a Zojirushi rice cooker that's older than they are. The design is more capsule-shaped, the buttons are all worn blank, the bowl is scratched, and the starch stains are probably never coming off the inside of the lid... but it still makes better homemade rice than the $30 piece of junk I was using in college. I'd say restaurant quality were it not for all the great sushi places we live by that somehow outdo our hardy little elephant cooker. I'm kind of thinking about going in on this as insurance in case something happens between us...
