WARNING: If you're going to use this on a work machine, and your corporate network forces you to use Norton Anti-Virus, your ZuperDAC will be rendered useless, as Norton flags the Zorloo driver as malware. I just got mine a few days ago, and I'm unable to even download the driver file due to this. I've contacted Zorloo, asking for a driver that passes Norton scan (they say there is one, but I can see no way to find and download it).
This really sucks, and I'll likely have to send it back if I don't hear from Zorloo in the next couple days.

Does anyone know if it's a good idea to pair this Zorloo ZuperDAC with a dedicated amp like Magni 2? I want to join the HD6xx drop but I only have the ZuperDAC, which I believe wouldn't be enough to drive those headphones. I'm planning to use it with a laptop. Thanks!

@rampantandroid @Redbaaron @JiveAmpersand Received my Magni 3 today, works like charm with ZuperDAC, thank you everyone for your input! Listening through Pinnacle PX right now, sounds amazing... Can't wait for HD6xx in March.

I'm using a ZuperDAC with a Bravo 2 amp at work. I found that setting output to 75%-100% works well with the amp. Though there is more fullness at 100%. There is some variation with headphones though. 100% seems almost too high for my BD DT 770 Pro's. Those sound good at 75%. Whereas 100% works well for my Hifiman HE-560's. Likewise this combo is driving my MD HD6xx's really well also. Much more output than though my Dragonfly Red. It sounds clean also. No complaints so far about the quality of the ZuperDAC from me. Time will tell though as I have only now started using it with any frequency. I've had it for a little over 5 months now.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about.. The Zorloo ZuperDAC is worth every penny of $55... It is as good in every way as the DragonFly Black, I owned both and they were so similar I sold my dragonfly to pocket the extra cash... If you want a $1000 amp/dac? BUY ONE. Don't spend $55 and complain about it sounding worse than a $1000 setup. It is what it is, and for the record it works fine with android and apple.

In my transaction it shows that you have shipped this item with DHL on 21st June. I got in touch with DHL and they says the order was never shipped. This is the worst experience i ever has from any online retailer. Absolutely pathetic. PFA screenshots. I need an explanation for this. i am going to post this in your fb and twitter page if i dont get a response here.

Got mine today. So far I am quite happy with it. I find it better than Dragonfly black. With Dragonfly Black I can hear noticeable hiss when using high sensitivity IEM like IE80. With this one the background is totally silent.

HelloFoobarAdding one more comment. This thing goes quite loud. With IE80 I have to use the lowest or second lowest volume setting on my phone. Also I don't hear any screech.

Just received my ZuperDAC today and did some listening with my iPhone 6/Lightning camera connection cable, playing with the Onkyo HF Player app. Initial results are good sonically. Compared to AQ Dragonfly Black with my Earsonics SM64, the ZuperDAC appears to have better imaging and soundstage, separation and detail but with a bit less warmth and mid bass than the AQ.
I like the lushness of the Dragonfly but with the ZuperDAC I am able to clearly discern the two vocalists on Mark Knopflers: Sailing To Philadelphia/Baloney Again that were a little more homogeneous with the AQ or iPhone alone.
So far, one downside is that I have to turn up the volume to 88% to reach the level the AQ can do at about 50%. I'm not talking about deafening levels here either. If playing hi resolution DSD files (tried PCM and DoP) that goes up to 94%. Plugged straight into the iPhone I can achieve the same volume at about 60% which makes me wonder whats wrong with this ZuperDAC? I know the Earsonics are high impedance/low sensitivity but both the Dragonfly and iPhone alone can play them fine.
I'll keep checking settings etc. but if this is the reality I doubt I'll be keeping the ZuperDAC as it doesn't offer any flexibility. One step down is too soft and one step up is too loud.

Well, it looks like Waynesworld is another fan of the Monk+s as well as Vido. I would say go for it; at those prices it's hard to beat. Heck, I might even get some just out of curiosity!

Mark3DI noticed the same with my ZuperDAC connected to my iPhone 6s Plus. I too have a AQ Dragonfly Black. Same behavior as far as output. I find that curious as I don't see why they would be different. I'm sticking with the Dragonfly to use mobile with the phone. I'm using the ZuperDac with a cheap Bravo 2 amp at work. This combination seems to work extremely well with one day of testing so far.

Just got my ZuperDAC from the last drop. This is a fantastic unit. And I say that from the point of a serious audiophile, not just someone who listens from his office.
I have a dedicated listening room with very expensive equipment and serious effort put into the setup of everything. My main DAC is a Nuforce DAC 80, which is a seriously good home audio DAC. I ordered the ZuperDAC for my office system which is used for background listening while working.
The ZuperDAC came yesterday so before setting it up in the office, I thought it would be fun to listen to it in the serious system to see just what 55 bucks buys someone. Well, it'snot quie as good as the DAC 80, but it is close enough that you have to do a lot of careful listeneing to hear the difference. This is CRAZY :-)
I'm telling everyone I know that is looking at getting a DAC for under $500 and will be taking it to my buddy who spent around 10 Grand on his Bryston a few years ago.
I don't listen with headphones but I guess, based on the comparitive sound level wth my DAC 80, that it may be somewhat quite if you listen to it with phones directly plugged in. But if you plan on plugging it into an amp or amplified speakers, you won't be unhappy with this DAC for such a cheap price.
I'm buying two more for my sons.

If you are on the fence for this drop, here is my impressions from a recent (Dec/Jan I think) drop.
I use it with an iPhone7 Plus (going through lightning to USB dongle). First few days it sounded a bit harsh. After a weekend burn in it really surprised me; it's SQ is a lot better than I expected given its price-point. Low, mid and highs sound just right. It makes you take notice and listen; dynamic and engaging.
I have not listened to the Dragonfly ones (so no comparison here) but this thing even drives my Sennheiser 6XX (Massdrop version of HD650, 300 ohm) at a decent volume level. Unless you have the habit of listening your music more than, say, 85dB this should do the trick. It drains iPhone7 plus around 8-10% per hour at 80-90% volume setting.
Highly recommended

I see what you mean. There is a loudness point where everything sounds just right. A bit up, it tires you, a bit down you lose detail and/or balance. With this DAC and Sennheiser HD6xx, that point for me is 2-3 bars down from the max volume on my iPhone 7 plus.

I use a sound meter to measure my headphones' sound levels to make sure what I find comfortable is safe for 24 hour use. So I won't listen over 70db usually.
