Take it from someone who has returned over 30 ASUS ROG SWIFT monitors, do not buy referbs! First, there is a reason why it was returned. Second, if there is backlight bleeding or a dead pixel, there isn't anything they can do to fix that!!! DO NOT BUY THIS DROP! BUY NEW!!

NatsoupWho cares? Unless you can return it immediately to Massdrop, it isn't worth it. To much of a risk.

ShaneJRiiiiight. There is also about a 900 page thread on Overclock.net with people mentioning how open box monitors are not worth the trouble.

SightUpI could spend all day explaining how "our" refurbished" are not like others, but would you believe me? If you have your mind set, I will not try and change that unless you are open to it. Feel free to reach out to me if you want specific questions answered. Have a great day!

ShaneJI'd actually like to hear what the difference is. I work for a cellphone company. I know the ins and outs of Apple, Samsung, and a few others. All of them are pretty bad. Not saying that is 100% directly comparable, but electronics are electronics. What makes your company stand apart? How do you "test" your returned products and deem them to be worthy to be able to be resold.

SightUpI appreciate your questions and your expertise in this area. As I am in sales, I have been told what I need to be to sell these products. Although "rigorous" quality inspection can be subjective, I completely understand why you would want to know what that process is. As I am not 100% sure on each test and duration, feel free to contact our customer service at 866-600-2367 option 1. They can definitely advise you what that process entails. In regards to what constitutes a refurbished at BenQ, they are just returns based on customers changing their mind, choosing the wrong monitor, or these units being used at an event. Example, we had hundreds of our monitors used at the Call of Duty and Overwatch tournaments/events. We will not resell a monitor if it has even 1 dead pixel. You get a 1 year warranty on these products, so you are taken care of.
