I have the Camo Triplex Tent and have used it extensively in South Louisiana. It is huge ! I had 1.43oz Cuben Fiber for Tub Floor which is more abrasion resistant. I got the Triplex instead of Duplex because it will fit 2 people and their backpacks in tent as opposed to putting backpacks in vestibule. I used Triplex on Appalachian Trail section hike from Georgia to Tenn. It rained, snowed, sleeted and some of the strongest winds it held up well and I always stayed dry. No problem with condensation as it builds on the top and runs down and out the side mesh. It was a little noisey when rained but got used to it quick. 29oz 3 person tent. it is huge ! I paid $780 for this customized version of it. The duplex is great for 1 person with pack inside, but a squeeze with 2 people and packs. Zpacks, what great products and company, the night picture is the use of black reflective-Line,

Survivalist7Second that. I think the triplex is a better option considering the price and weight gain is relatively minimal. I love my triplex - using it in the Australian alps atm

JoomyThe standard for Duplex and Triplex is .5oz for top and 1oz for tub floor I used .67oz CF for top And 1.43oz for tub floor I removed the standard green Or yellow or orange color Guy lines and replaced with Lawson black Reflective Line For stealth camping / off trail camping.

Survivalist7Is it stealth if your lines light up when a flashlight hits them? Lol
I thought about black lines till my son almost took out my yellow ones walking by the tent.
I use a bivy stealth camping. Noooooo reflections and minimal footprint. But i do like how yours blacks out. Awesome.

Mverick160Hey Mverick160, you are right about the Stealth Camping with reflective lines. I used plain black lines on it till one time I was out in the swamps of Louisiana at night and I was sooo stealthy, I could not find my own damn tent...this was a solution... as for using a bivy, I want my backpack inside with me, there is no room in a bivy for pack and it makes me feel a too closed in and reminds me of my military days stuck in that damn bivy for too many hours on end. Thanks for for the thumbs up on reflective lines and black out.

Survivalist7Nice setup!! At 6' 3" I'm looking at the Triplex to be used as a 2-person+gear. Thanks for taking the time to give your input. I like the customization as well. More durability with minimal weight gain. And still lighter than others. Guess I'll be heading over to ZPacks to order direct. :)

s1akdawgHi S1akdawg, thanks for the thumbs up! The Triplex is the way to go, IF you need the extra space. It is HUGE and SuperUltraLight, I made a custom bag (2.5oz) with a storm flap to match my Zpacks Arc Haul Zip. Also purchased Zpacks carbon poles when I don't bring my hiking poles.

Survivalist7Funny thing about the Triplex is that it didn't even register on our poll, whereas the Duplex was a clear top vote getter: https://www.massdrop.com/vote/zpacks-ultralight-products/result

DannyMilksDannyMilks, The Zpacks Triplex is a rather a bigger, heavier (2.8oz), $100 more tent compared to the smaller, lighter, cheaper Duplex Tent. The Duplex has gotten more rave reviews due to the popular extra room, lightness solo size of tent compared to the Triplex. But if people look at the minimal extra weight (2.8oz) verses size difference for $100 more, it is certainly the winner! The duplex floor area is 28.1 sq feet verses 37.5 sq feet. The Zpacks Triplex Tent is more of an unknown diamond in the flooded field of lightweight tents because it is rated for 3 people and most people backpack solo or with 1 other person and decide on the smaller duplex. The Zpacks Triplex is certainly the winner hands down compared to any other single wall tent in the market for internal space verses weight. I have 25 tents and it is my favorite. Thanks Danny for your comments !

Survivalist7My boyfriend and I used a triplex over 1300 miles of the Appalachian Trail this summer. wouldn't trade "down" to a duplex for anything. That extra room is worth the $ and weight for two people imo, but just depends on what you prioritize.

redwoodrootsYeah ya right ! the Triplex is definitely worth the few extra dollars for the huge additional amount of living space. It's tiny additional weight to floor size ratio makes it truly worth it. I have the 2015 Triplex and used it in all various types of weather. Having 25 tents, the TRIPLEX it is my GOTO tent when backpacking long distances.
