I had just ordered 4 of the JoyJolt mugs the other day in the now closed Drop. But I’m tempted to try these too.
Can anyone expound on the differences of each brand? Durability? Care & Storage? It appears both brands have experienced breakage during shipping.
aztecActually, it appears to be an even less appealing deal than you initially imply. The $15 offer here is simply for two 2.7 oz. Espresso cups. The Zilling offer for 29.95 is for four 12 oz. coffee mugs - a WAY better deal for the cups most folks are actually likely to order. Sorry MD. 🤷🏻♂️
I have these mugs (as I've mentioned before), but now I'm going to give you a reason to buy a set of your own, by passing on a difficult to find recipe for one of the all-time best, holiday coffee drinks, with booze, you have ever tried! The drink is called a Mt. Charleston Coffee, and it is the signature drink of the not-exactly-world-famous Mt. Charleston Ski Lodge, high up in the mountains, just north of Las Vegas (you didn't know Las Vegas has a ski lodge did you?). Okay, here's the recipe:
1 ounce Drambuie
1 ounce brandy
1 ounce homemade vanilla milk (see note below)
8 ounces Kona coffee (anygood coffee is fine)
Mix all ingredients and top with a garnish of whipped cream, cinnamon, nutmeg and cherry (don't skimp on the garnish).
Note: To make vanilla milk, mix ½ cup sugar, 1 quart whole milk and 1½ teaspoons Tahitian vanilla (or use vanilla beans, opened and scraped). If making a single drink, you can get by with a splash of milk and a dash of vanilla added to your mug, before adding the other ingredients.
