Drop + Dan Clark Audio Aeon Closed X Headphones
LOL my heart can't take another disappointment after Audio Technica ATH-WP900 ($1000 CAD) which I thought was just different than my current headphone Denon AH-D2000 ($300 CAD), but technicality / resolution wise they're about on par. I'll come back to headphone again at a later time. :P

Drop + THX AAA™ 789 Linear Amplifier
May 30th Drop - Just Arrived - I live in Southern CA Refined, that's what this thing is compared to my Emotiva BasX-100 and Fostex HP-A3. Zero noise. Sound stage and instrument separation all improved. This is with all my headphones. Fostex T50RP MKIII, Denon AH-D2000, Beyerdynamic MMX-300, KZ ZS 10 Pro and GameCom 780....jk the GameCom is usb. Worth the wait.

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones
Since I'm not a verified owner here because I don't live in the USA, so I had to use a freight forwarder to buy for me, having said that, my first impression coming from the Denon AH-D2000 and AH-D5000 is, the hd6xx is very loud if an amplifier is used, as the Denons are 25ohm, I myself got used to an amazing clear and yet not loud sound on the Denons I mentioned. Regarding impedance, note that the hd6xx is 300ohm, so, on my tests, at 0ohm...

Denon/Fostex Ear Pad Guide
[image] Hello, to preface, I've at one point owned Massdrop x Fostex TR-X00 Ebony, TH-X00 Mahogany, E-Mu Teak, and Denon AH-D2000. To be honest I actually have no issue with their stock pads in terms of comfort, but the reason why I dive i...

What was your Ah ha! moment in becoming an Audiophile?
Everyone started somewhere. What was the piece of equipment that initially sent you over the edge into caring about frequency response, specs, drivers, etc? Mine had to be the Havi B3 Pro 1 when it was a complete unknown. Blew me away compa...

How many headphones are too many?
I wouldn't put a number on what is 'too much', but any headphone that I really don't get much use out of or ever really ever want to listen to gets let go. If I had to pare down my collection a minimum right now, it would be to these four: STAX L300 Ltds (because they are unlike normal headphones and are top tier level, plus LOVE how they sound), modded Fostex TH-X00PH (bass presence unlike anything else with rich mids and energetic highs)...
