Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones
Guys, thanks in advance for helping. Any help is appreciated I have just received my HD6XX yesterday and just plug it into my Edifier C3 amplifier(an desktop speaker + amplifier set).It can drive the HD6XX at fairly loud volume that is loud enough for my music consumption. But I found the HD6xx is lacking in bass in most of the songs (i mostly consume pop music). I know HD6xx is a more neutral headphone, but the bass is just too weak for my...

Do i have to have a DAC to use my speakers with an amplifier?
I'm very new to this audiophile-stuff, and i have theese old Sony speakers, so i was wondering if i would be able to use an AMP with the speakers, without a DAC? Can anyone explain how it works? Thanks in advance.

DAC/AMP for Amazon Echo Dot?
The other posters are right, you don't need a DAC for this case. If you don't have the speakers already, you can skip the amp and get powered speakers. Just find ones with RCA inputs and bluetooth and you're good to go. Edifier R1700BT would be an example, but I have no experience with them. If you already have speakers and want to go the amp route, you have a couple of paths. One is a full size stereo receiver, if size isn't a concern....

Yamaha HS5 Studio Monitor
So dude, you can get some pretty decent offerings from Logitech these days, for about $30-$60 dollars if you're on a budget. (Logitech 2.0 Z200 is $22 from Amazon; or the 2.1 Z323 for $38) If you're looking to use it with your TV be sure to check that the speakers offer the correct inputs and buy the appropriate adapters. I have yet to listen to any myself, but I see that you can get sound bars for around $80 with 40W of power, which should...

Drop O2 + SDAC DAC/Amp
New to the audiophile scene, and don't really know about the technicals of devices and peripherals. Is there a problem connecting active/powered speakers to this? I'm planning on using this on my computer with the HD6xx as my headphones, and plugging Edifier R1850DBs on the RCA ports in the back. Read somewhere how you can damage your speakers if they are already amplified and you plug them into another amp.
