Drop + JVC HA-FDX1 DUAL CARBON IEM
Just wanted to check in after getting my pair. I agree with everything you said except I think the Jvc spiral dots sounds great for these. String bass sounds perfect in jazz with the green (actually blue.. The most damped one! ) filters but there is a lack of treble/air which is a bit of a let down. Overall extremely detailed listen, I've never had a listening experience like this one after spending close to 2k on trying gear and different...

Product Question
Just bought a pair for the next run. How comfortable are these? I haven't worn over the ear headphones in a long time so my experience is with the almost painful ear pads that used to exist on low end headphones. Should I consider buying cushioned pads to go with these or are these comfortable out of the box?

JVC HA-FW10000 IEM
Since my purchase was elsewhere, I can't review. Here are my thoughts. What's included in the package: 1. A real nice circular leather case with foam cutouts for the IEMs. My Linsoul cable fit, but the included cable fits better. 2. The same cable that was included with the JVC HA-FW1800. Note: No shirt clip again, but that doesn't matter as much here with over the ear. 3. Spiral Dot Silicone tips in 5 sizes. No foam I don't think, not even...

Massdrop x Noble X Universal IEMs
My first post so be gentle, trying to give back based on all the info I received. Some observations first, starting with cons. The cable is not what I'm used to. It's braided and seems cheap. Not a big deal and probably a faulty assumption. The over-ear design is marginal, not the best design, but works. RHA has a much better design, not even close. I feel I have to be much more gentle with the cable than with my RHA T10i. The in ear fit is...

IEMs, why should I care? How to choose some?
@mdeous I'll put my answers in bold. I have read a lot that "IEMs provide better quality than regular earphones". What does that mean? How does it compare? Would average IEMs provide better sound than high-end earphones or than over-ear headphones for example? Why do audiophiles love them so much? I would be skeptical of any sweeping claim like that. I've listened to a lot of IEMs and over-ears and IEMs aren't better OR worse. They sound...

Closed back / isolating over the ear headphones for a lady, 1/8" plug, no amp required, and under <$75?
Howdy! I'm in the market to pick up some "decent" headphones for my girlfriend. Ideally, for a deal/steal here on Massdrop or elsewhere! I started just browsing here and the selection is overwhelming! She really liked my HD558's, and my ...

Cardas EM5813 IEM
Hi ReVolution99 Still have my tooth issue but it's feeling better right now. All of the recommendations I'm going to make are from the AudioBudget website. It's a fantastic site and I find his recommendations to be spot on. However I want to say one thing before I make some recommendations while I love all of the headphones I am going to mention there's no way they can compete with 2 3 400 dollar headphones. However it's a matter of degree...

Recommendation for over-the-ear headphones with mic, preferably wireless/Bluetooth?
Looking for over-the-ear (open or closed) headphones with a mic (work-from-home friendly) that are preferably wireless. Any recommendations?
