Hey all The Skeleton here i've been talking with some users of geekhack and been seeing all of there amazing artisans and I have told them of getting more artisans on MD and they weren't exactly pleased they don't think artisans belong here.
But what do you think? Would you want some more artisans on Massdrop, they would of course have to be small drops but they would still be there at least.
Artisans are my favorite parts of keycaps, they are a labor of love that are unique and beautiful, and with all of these new artisans coming to Massdrop I ask. Which one is your favorite? my favorite artisan is the nebula series from jelly keys.
Can we get some keycaps with Chinese Zhuyin (Bopomofo)?
I've seen a lot of caps with Japanese hiragana legends lately, but rarely ever do I stumble upon any with Chinese Zhuyin. For those who don't know Zhuyin is one of the phonetic alphabets used to type Chinese characters, today it's mainly used in Taiwan, but many older generation Mainlander Chinese use it or at least know it as well. Here's an image of a Zhuyin keycap set I found online, I think it's from zFrontier's GMK Zhuyin.
I know that there probably isn't a wide audience for Zhuyin as an input method, as Taiwan is the only place I know that still teaches Zhuyin in schools and China has ditched Zhuyin in favour of Pinyin - a Romanised system. However, I do believe that the legends on keycaps should be more than just linguistical symbols that help you type, but also decorations that serve cosmetic purposes to make the board more unique and even reinforce a sense of identity to its user. I personally find them really intriguing and I think they look really neat on...
Do you love a simple wrist rest or a custom wrist rest which has both functional and artistic value ? This item is made by hand from high-quality epoxy resin. To make this product more vivid and one-of-a-kind, we meticulously mixed colors and added patterns of katana swords and butterflies. We can change the background color based on the customer's request. So you guys, do you love it ? Can you please tell me your opinion about this wrist rest ?
I've been staying at parent's place with this sad little set up and the 🍑 desk mat is getting v dirty -_-
Curious to see what everyone's wfh set up is like... Snap a few photos and share please!
Anyway, hope y'all are staying safe and healthy.

I have been interested in the Jailhouse Blues mod for quite a while now, but didn't have a really good way to implement it so it just sat on the back burner. If you don't know what the Jailhouse Blues mod is, check out this thread on geekhack - https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=38091.0
My biggest issue was that to do the mod you had to wrap wire around or cut o-rings and I was worried about inconsistent feel between switches. Don't ask me why it took so long, but I finally got the idea to look for smaller o-rings that didn't require cutting. I did some searching on eBay and found a couple that looked like they might work. I got both sizes thinking one would work and the other wouldn't. I ended up using them together.
Step 1: Disassemble the keyswitch. We need an o-ring of each size to do the mod the way I did it.
Step 2: Separate the white clicker piece from the stem.
Step 3: Place the smaller o-ring onto the stem and push it all they way...
In some Asia country such as China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam (where Jelly Key bases) we celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival (harvest festival). Each nation has their own name for the festival like in Vietnam we call it Tết Trung Thu.
There are four symbols of the holiday: The Moon, The Moon Cake, The Rabbit Moon and The Lion Dance.
Our childhood is filled with the memories of Mid-Autumn Festival. It inspires us to design and handcraft Mid-Autumn festival themes.
First, we worked with paper and pencil to draw the concept, then is tool and clay to make the prototype. Then cast the first keycap with resin, silicon. All of the keycap (except the moon cake) is hand painted, pieces by pieces.
The Moon Cake, always play an essential role in the Mid-Autumn Festival as a requisite treat. As a grown-up, we eat it together with family and friend.
The Lion Dance express joy, happiness and good luck. The Lion Dance also plays an important role in the consecration....
@MiTo @HoffmanMyster Can you please give us some sort of reason why they won't order the novelties for this set? You have them available for almost every other GMK set you offer but this one. I know there would be a fair amount of interest in people completing their pulse sets.
Hi all, checking in...
It's been awhile. What keyboard is everyone using? What's hot right now?
Is there any keyboard you really want right now?
Give me all the deets!
Warmly,
Xi
I've been on the lookout for a mechanical Keyboard some time. Unfortunately I've never found something which comes close to the Layout of an Apple Keyboard which I'm now quite comfortable with. Most importantly: four keys on the bottom left to the space bar, and a large return key. Is there something like this on the Market? Perhaps even with a compact layout and USB-C?
Recently, PFU has released a set of brand new HHKB professional series. I’m very interested in the hybrid model. I wish Drop would sell the keyboard.

What do you think of that?

I am really thinking of getting one of these keyboards.
For the price I think It looks amazing, although shipping may take a while.
what do you think?
I lost my risers from my keyboard awhile ago and I know you cannot buy them. That being said I was told to make a post here asking if anyone has the dimensional drawings for the risers so I could model them myself. I want to 3d print them but I don't know how big they are or angle or anything. If anyone has any tips on where I can find these specs or where I could buy replacement metal risers please let me know!
How about a left handed keyboard like this on Drop?
This is the best left handed keyboard I've owned so far, it's good, but I would love a drop mechanical keyboard with this layout. I know it may seem weird to most people but this is a much better layout for me and I'm not even left handed. It has a balanced, ergonomic, layout that keeps your typing keys centered (and my arms and shoulders) which leaves plenty of room for a mouse on whichever side you want. I use the numpad for fps gaming so I don't ever have to shift my keyboard to position the wasd keys in line with my shoulder like I would on a regular keyboard. I also use the numpad frequently for everyday use without having to remove my right hand from the mouse. Anyway, a guy can dream I suppose. Until then, I'll stick with my trusty bloody B945 left handed keyboard which seems to be the only worthy option out there for gamers/developers.
