Kovea Hydra Dual-Fuel Stove
Well, you're welcome...just sharing my experience both first- and second-hand. Warranty information comes with the products and they have a good one like we've come to expect from most of our outdoor gear companies. Hadn't looked at their website in a long time but it's odd that they don't have any information about warranty, and still no .pdf product manuals. One caveat is that if you buy one of the Korean-labeled products from E-Bay or...

What happened to Drop Outdoors?
Drop used to provide a great range of low priced outdoor equipment. In the past I have picked up great bargains on fleece, jackets, hats often provided by name manufacturers such as OR, Rab, marmot and the like. This has really contracted i...

Emergency Kit Flashlight Recommendations?
I wrote a nice long post and it disappeared when I logged in, apologies if this is a repeat. Also I see this is an old discussion, but hopefully this might help someone. Things I like: CR123's for their high output and long shelf life. AA's since they are easy to find and I can use rechargables. Lights that are built well. Reversible or two way pocket clips, which also keep the light from rolling off a flat surface. Throwy lights...

[Ongoing] Pro Photo Gear Discussion
+50 for the Capture Clip, I just got myself one and although it's pricey, it's worth it. I've barely used mine but I already know that it's going to be amazing when I make it to the outdoors. Obviously, try not to overpack, and probably go for a good sharp zoom over packing primes, as they'll add weight to your pack, and aren't practical since you want to keep lens swapping to a minimum.

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Headphones
Personally I'm totally okay with the soundstage not being so wide. I don't have that much experience with wiiiiide soundstage, though I do have a pair of m40x's with angled sheepskin pads which to my knowledge are supposed to sound somewhat spacious. I don't really like them, though. They had pretty good imaging in their stock form (although horrible comfort), but replacing the pads resulted in an awkward sensation of the soundstage being...

Massdrop x Dan Durston X-Mid 1P Tent
I have been backpacking since 1959 and I cannot once remember the old guard community jumping on each other. Products from Kelty, Stephenson, Sierra Designs, Dolt, Gerry, Early Winters, and many more are still working for me and some of them will even call you back or email you if you need some help (I got a call back on a "just visiting" message I left at Stephenson's, their sleeping bag made for me is now 50 years old and apart from some...
