You are actually fine with the Fiio DAP, nice, and the drop THX 789, as well as with the 6XX. To be a bit more portable though pick up some decent IEM's to hang with the DAP in traveling/noisy surroundings, as the 6XX are open cans, leaky both ways. You now have a portable DAP music player/DAC/amp, which can serve as your DAC when using the 789 for even better music, yes it gets better, until you run out of money... but what you are getting...

In case anyone's wondering about file formats, Amazon states the following: "Supports MP2, MP3, WAV, WMA, APE, FLAC, AAC, AIFF, OGG and other music formats Supports up to 192K / 24BIT sampling rate, while supporting CUE index playback, seamless playback". That's the truth. 2 years I only had a pair of m50xs and now I own more than 16 pairs and a record player, vanatoo speakers, two DAPS, 2 portable amps and a nice dac/amp. My wallet hates me more than steam sales.
