Finally got the chance to listen to these cans in a studio setting and they are perfect... They are replacing the smaller AKG k121 that I got a few years replacing my gray Sony MDR V700 that always break at the hinge.... Those V700's had tremendous output from pro quality mixers. They were great for tracking drums or driving over the din of live music on stage or at the desk. But not so good for mixing and mastering compared to the M220...
