Opportunities for expansion like this always come down to, and reveal, a company's values.
You just told women that you value flashlights and trading cards over women's apparel.
Flashlights, which are part and parcel of EDC, and tabletop games and trading cards, which fall neatly into hobbies.
Good to know what's important to you as a company, and what's not.

ambulancegrrlGrow up. Stop reading in between the lines for something that isn't there. There is literally a wealth of other online merchandisers specifically for women. Go there and buy your stuff.

ambulancegrrlAlways someone looking to be aggrieved.
Perhaps... PERHAPS... there are more people looking for these things on Massdrop than women's apparel... ergo more reason to have them. I dunno... just a thought.

ambulancegrrlPerhaps, you can suggest some communities that are more appealing to you and what you think other women might be interested in. That might be a better way to address your concerns. Unfortunately you got counter complaining that was just a waste of electrons

ambulancegrrlSales decide what is important to a company, not emotional outcryers. Sorry that is just how a business works. If most of the people buy flashlights and not women's apparel and no one is requesting women's apparel, then why would a company waste time and resources on such a thing. Small minded, emotional people make for horrible business owners. Yes small minded... Means you can't see the bigger picture, and the bottom line. My wife CEO and owner of three businesses, is CFO of another two. Chairwoman of the board of directors for the local special needs school and our home owners association. Then on top of all that she is a business consultant and accountant of her own company, which she does full time. Point is not all women are emotional wrecks that can't see the bigger picture.

ambulancegrrlThere's no man's apparel community either.
The new communities were chosen based on what most people on this platform are interested in. And it turns out that the there's thousands of people buying flashlights, so they made a flashlight community. They are not your personal company, they are gonna do what most people want, not what you personally want.

ambulancegrrl'Women's apparel' as a community is too vague and kind of assumes we all have similar shapes or style interests. It's better to keep communities focused on a topic and keep apparel in those.
A size/fit filter might be nice though. Especially if short or tall could be highlighted.
