I'm surprised it's not, knives, knives, knives and knives. Kolour does that and their knives suck. Won't keep an edge. Coffee? - you can't compete with DeathWish. PC Gaming? -Going for the 17 year-old demographic? Fountain pens? -Get real. Create an Art supply group if you're going that route. Grooming? - Dollar Shave Club has that. Trading Cards? - Seriously? Unless someone wants to buy my hockey cards, I'll pass. Baking? - Yeah, I like to bake and could use some quality equipment, but I'd rather see apparatus for the OTHER type of baking, if you know what I mean. Give a deal on Volcanoes again. How about PAX? throw in some lighters in the mix. Add some CBD products too. Board Games? - Yawn...How about Survival groups? Flashlights? - How many does one need? put them with survival gear which is where they belong anyway. Why don't you feature something original? The choices you have now are pretty lame. Why don't you feature cool stuff like the bug-a-salt rifle for killing flies? Are you seriously thinking about getting into clothing? Have you thought that through? You'll be swamped with returns and sizing issues.

delnerdoIf we were to go for my personal list of communities to branch into, this'd be the first one for sure. Fun fact, we used to have a Coffee Community back in the day, and I'd genuinely love for those days to return. ☕

Work around for firmware/configuration update error "command not recognized"
I spent more than an hour attempting to update my Drop Shift keyboard. I'm not sure what has changed, but I was not able to do it entirely from the Drop website as I had previously done. I have most of the keys configured how I would like, but the default LED function was a very bright, distracting, rainbow wave going across the keyboard. Every time I turned the computer on I had to manually adjust the lights how I liked. Using the online version or the locally installed app, you first have to install the QMK XAP interface. You then have to flash your already configured firmware file, which can be done on the Drop website. If you are logged in your last configuration is saved under your account and you can alter what you like, so you don't have to start from scratch. So, following the instructions I selected the appropriate board, entered bootloader mode, but when attempting to flash the file, I would get an error that the C:/Users/Mike C..... command is not recognized...

Drop Keyboard Club Questions
Hello everyone! I'm looking to join DKC, but I have a few questions. The first day of November has already passed. Will I still get the coupon for November immediately after signing up today (Nov. 10)? What is the definition of Mechanical Keyboard products? Will the coupon apply to desk mats? I believe it should apply to everything listed under this category? For orders under $79, the coupon will be converted to a percentage discount. Will the percentage discount apply to all mechanical keyboard items in an entire order, or it can only be applied to a single mechanical keyboard item in the order? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
We’re very excited to announce that we’re launching five new communities! Launching new communities isn’t as easy as flipping a switch. A lot of thought and effort goes into every new community we create, and we’ve worked diligently to make sure we’re putting our best foot forward and making something you can really enjoy. We could not (and would not!) have done this without you. Now, let’s dive into how we chose these communities, the process, and what’s next.
We have a few simple guidelines that have always helped us determine which communities to create. Each new community should possess one or more of these qualities:
1. Community requested by Massdrop members 2. Community we believe we can meaningfully help and grow 3. Community that can be split off from our existing communities
As you can see, first and foremost, we listen to the community at large. This comes in the form of Talk posts, comments, polls, and even direct conversations. Not too long ago, we surveyed a group of Massdrop members to see which new communities we should move into. After compiling that data with our own research, we were able to narrow down the list to the five communities you see below.
Each of these new communities is a split-off of its parent community. This splitting off makes it easier for us to devote the time and effort necessary to grow each community as we ourselves grow as a company. Will this always be the way we do it? Definitely not. The process of creating new communities itself will evolve as well, and we’re very much looking forward to what comes next.
