CTRL Disconnecting after updating

more_vert
I just updated my CTRL using the configurator and now my keyboard only stays on for approx 10 seconds before it turns off. If I let it plugged in, it makes the windows sound for unplugging and plugging in a peripheral. Any help would be appreciated .

My ctrl is doing the same thing and I have not installed anything on the keyboard. :( I get the tones for disconnect and reconnect. Sometime mine shuts off but most of the time it stays on. :( It is very annoying. When mine does disconnect I can remove the cable and replug it to make it come back. :(

JohnTaberYea I spent almost 7 hours trying every solution I could find. Nothing helped at all. The new board came and works perfectly fine, even after flashing. Guess it was just bad quality control

Adding a comment to let anyone know what I already did. Tried the OEM cable tried an ANKER cable tried a different PC tried to reflash a default color scheme tried to reflash a new color scheme held the reset button for extended periods of time pressed the reset button multiple times in a row held reset button while connecting the usb c cable The one other thing I noticed is that right before it disconnects/locks up, in the Windows options under Bluetooth & Devices > Devices where you can see your peripherals that are installed, it briefly shows "driver error" under the CTRL Keyboard, which can be seen in the attached image. It also shows up as both CTRL Keyboard and HID Keyboard Device, and in the actual windows device manager as four separate HID Keyboard Devices, with no COM ports listed until the disconnect.

SuddenLifeI am using the OEM cable. I thought of that one. ;) It does not help. I am on Windows 10 as well. I will see if I can see the error you are observing...
