Is there a know work around to directly plugging into an M1 Mac? I own a Macbook Pro 2021 M1 MacOS 12.2, and I have used my Pronic with my mac using a powered USB hub no problem. With a powered hub there is no issue connecting. Now the problem starts when you want to plug it in directly using a Usb c to usb c cable. I suspect this is a problem on apples side as I have seen several pages of complaints of usb keyboards not working when directly connected to M1 Macs. I called apple directly to ask about what can be done as it seems silly I can use the Preonic fine with a Hub but not when directly plugged in with a usb c cable. I want to state I have a high quality usb c to usb c cable, and I was unable to get it to work when directly plugged in even with the help of apple support. Apple support said it may not be supported, and that I would need to see with the manufacturer if they support direct connection. I have done a huge amount of googling and tried every solution but none work. As it stands this Preonic will not work when directly plugged in to a M1 Mac. It's my fave keyboard, and the point of a 60% is to be minimalistic. So having to carry a huge usb hub everywhere I go defeats the point. So a fair warning to anyone with and M1 you need a powered hub to make this work.
