Today, I asked my self what is the best headset out there for under $30. I wanted a headset that could have some factors...
- What does it look like?
- What sound quality does it have?
- How good is the microphone on the headset?
- Is it Console compatible? or Is it just for PC?
- How long will the headset last? (The quality of the headset overall.)
- Is it worth the price?
With those factors out the way I have created my top 3 list of budget gaming headsets under $30
*Note that this top 3 list is not in order, just simply my top picks for a budget headset*
1. Combatwing Gaming Headset - Amazon $22.99
PROS: These headsets are just plain amazing. When I got these in the mail, I was actually hyped to see how good they were. These headsets feel amazing on the ears and in your hand. The structure of the headset is made out of some metal, that has a good weight to it. The headset's sound quality is much better than I thought it would be. It sounds just as good, if not better than my Hyper X headsets, which are much more expensive.
CONS: The headsets have this plastic material on the outside of the headset. It is shiny and could look better if it was matte black. The microphone isn't professional what so ever, but you can easily understand what the person is saying. It isn't amazing but again you get what you pay for.
2. GAMIDAS Hebe E1 RGB Headset - Amazon Under $30.00
PROS: These headsets, I've had for about 6 months now and I have to say that these are truly amazing. This headset is made by GAMIDAS who make similar products to RAZER. They have their own website where they sell a wide selection of products. The products on their website are a little more pricey than Ebay. The headsets are built like a Ox, these headsets are truly one of the strongest headsets out there. These have amazing sound quality and have a good sounding Microphone. They look even better than the Combatwing headsets.
CONS: These headsets only have few downsides. These headsets aren't the best for XBOX players. The sound quality it still amazing on Xbox, but you cannot use the microphone for Xbox. Maybe try an audio splitter? The RGBs aren't programmable as far as I know, but they do have a nice fade to them.
3. Logitech G430 - EBAY $29.99
PROS: The Logitech 430 are for the people that don't trust not well-known brands. Logitech is a huge brand right now in tech and you know that these won't let you down. These headsets have the best microphone out of the 3 headsets listed. The sound quality is amazing and around equivalent to the GAMIDAS Hebe E1. The price for them is outstanding for how good headsets they are. If you don't trust Ebay, you can pay the extra buck on amazon for them.
CONS: The downsides to the Logitech G430s are clearly noticeable. The headset is the worth feeling out of the 3, with most of the headset being made out of plastic. The headset is also the lightest of the 3, if your one of the people that like weight to their headsets. The only other con is that their isn't any RGB, which may be a PRO for the right person. For me, I'm a fan of RGB, so i list it as a CON.
CONCLUSION: To wrap it up, my favorite of the 3 is definitely the GAMIDAS Hebe E1s. In my opinion they have the best feel to them out of the 3. They have shown me that they last for a long time and I won't be needed new headsets very soon. There are some nice headsets out there, but if you don't want to spend a lot of money on headsets; these are the headsets for you.
(Thanks for reading my post! Hope this stirs up
some comments, and thoughts on what headset are the top out of the 3.) - Josh
