100% PCB with key pad?

more_vert
I want to get into building keyboards, but all the PCB's I find do not include a keypad. I am pretty attached the keypad. TKL kinda takes out some important usage for me. Can someone direct me to a pcb (preferably hotswap, but begars can't be choosers) with keypads?

It's really tough, almost no one makes full-sized custom boards. The closest you'll get is an 1800 layout, or a 96% layout; both make some of the keys smaller in order to fit a number pad into the same space a TKL board would take up. An 1800 will still have small gaps between the function row, arrows, and number pad, while a 96% squeezes all of the keys together into one large grouping with no space between the keys. It's out of stock right now, but CannonKey's Stacked1800 is a good, extremely cheap ($90) but fully QMK/VIA- programmable 1800 board. It does require soldering, but with its price point, it's a good practice board for learning to do that. The YMDK96 is a 96% board with hotswap, though I think AliExpress is the only place to get it right now. With shipping, it's closer to $200. If you want to look for other options, check ThocStock's listing of in-stock keyboard models, or MechGroupBuy's list of active group-buy boards to see if there are any 1800 or 96% models. There aren't a ton, but they do pop up from time to time. They'll all require soldering. I have a TKC1800 from TheKeyCompany, which did require soldering, and I like it a lot - it sells for about $150. It last sold in October, but comes back about once a year. (I wouldn't recommend Drop's SHIFT board; it seems plagued by quality issues.)

Thanks for the help. After some looking around I was able to find on Epomaker and KPRepublic a kit called the GK108S. I think I was able to place an order shortly before they went out of stock. I heard a few good things about the board, but there were also problems that mods were reccommended for. Once again thanks for the information!
