Any fix for the SHIFT freezing/hanging issue?

Hi All, Recently my SHIFT keyboard begand having the much dreaded freezing issue. For clarity, the issue presents itself as follows:

Keyboard LEDs freeze in their current state (animations stop etc.)
Keys become unresponsive, but the keyboard doens't disconnect from the PC
I've tested this on multiple setups, with multiple different cables, powered vs unpowered USB hubs, multiple laptops and desktop PCs
After unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in, around 50% of the time it will function again.
Leaving the keyboard unplugged for a longer amount of time gives a higher rate of it functioning normally again once plugged in
Pressing the keys while the keyboard is unpowered/unplugged also increases the rate of restarting the keyboard succesfully (I suspect this allows power to drain from residual sources like caps on the PCB)
After plugging the keyboard back in, sometimes it enters a state of semi-powered on (LEDs come on, but are dim) while remaining completely unresponsive
The keyboard can be completely unreactive but still register with the host computer as it originally did in Device Manager

Having seen that there was a lot of these issues with the first rounds of the SHIFT, i'm hoping that someone has come up with a fix for the issue, or at least knows how to repair the board? I've contacted DROP about replacement parts, but they don't ship parts and as my keyboard is outside warranty, they won't replace it. Looking for some way to salvage this keyboard, as I really like the aesthetic and style, and don't want to waste the €250 I spent on this in the first place.

I have the same problem. Even exchanged for a new one but issue persists. I don’t have this problem with other brands keyboards

I have also had the same issue and have tried a number of different combos with the backlights, cables, different ports (usb3,usbC) with no luck.

Try doing a search. but I remember other people having a issue and it was corrected with a firmware update.

RawdilzFunny, this only started happening to my drop alt after I used their firmware update tool. It's so frustrating, I love the keyboard otherwise, but I'd probably never buy this brand again because of this. I even tried contacting Drop directly, and it was like 6 messages back and forth of them verifying my purchase before they finally recommended updating the firmware with their tool. I've tried to re-flash it back to factory in all of the available configurations and it still hangs.

How to sell things on Drop & How Drop charge them?

Hi , this Kyle from China. Since a month ago, my team wanted to build a brand to produce the high quality of mechanical keyboard and headset to sell aboard. Now we already got the license to do so, and we can't wait to bring our products to meet everyone. But the products are still in the period of designing, it would take some time :( There are some questions we can't find the ways to solve - how to sell keyboard on Drop, and the details about how Drop charge per product? - Actually I sent an email to Drop Studio for some questions, but I didn't receive the answer.( Drop Studio also mentioned that they can contact me only if they were interested in my design / products ). What is a good replacement circuit board?

I spilled on my DROP CSTM80 keyboard and damaged the circuit board. Where can I get a replacement circuit board? The ones on the Drop Shop site do not look the same as the one in my keyboard. Can you please make a recommendation? Thank you.

Is the drop alt v1 compatible with the official qmk configurator?

I use a Drop Alt v1 and much prefer flashing with compiled .bin files to using the desktop configurator app. Drop's online configurator has been refusing to compile keymaps, while the QMK online configurator at https://config.qmk.fm/ has keymaps for Alt v2 but not Alt v1. Are the Alt v2 and Alt v1 compatible enough that a .bin file compiled for v2 will work on my v1? Thanks for your help!

I'm unable to run the drop keyboard configurator setup

I have windows 11 and I've recently got the cstm80. I'm trying to flash the firmware, but I'm unable to run install the configurator. Every time I try to run the setup file nothing happens. The version I'm trying to run is: Drop+Keyboard+Configurator+Setup+24.9.6-322.exe I've tried running as admin, but nothing I do gets it to run. I'd appreciate any help.
