Welp.... You guys really f-ed up with the whole reveal of your new profile.
I'm happy that in the end you've decided to respect your biggest keycap creator matt3o, even tho, in the process you've lost him.
This is how it should've been from the beginning, or even better, just message matt3o in advance, I am sure that all this drama would have been avoided and a cool non-drama related name would have been revealed.
Now waiting for matt3o's reply on this. He was the only reason I bought keyboard stuffs here (while living in EU), so my decision to continue my purchases with Drop will depend on his response.
EDIT : Matt3o responded. It looks like you guys managed to get things straight. Will probably be back someday to buy some new keycaps ;)

And no, his name was not mentioned in the original article. It was first mentioned in a comment reply to someone that asked for more details on how they arrived at MT2. People jumped on that and assumed it was "an explanation after the fact" and that they were retconning the reasoning behind the naming decision. MiTo then said somewhere that he was involved in it, but that didn't get as much attention.
So, now that Drop has changed the name of the profile MiTo helped develop, where is the outrage? Don't all designers deserve credit for their work? Seems like a bit of a double standard.

iamlilysdadAll designers deserve credit for their work. Clearly they are trying to focus at least one post on Matt3o and I don't see a problem with that, especially considering this whole unfortunate situation. They did reference "the other designer *** with M and T in their name" but it's true that they didn't explicitly point him out in this post.
Life is full of double standards that are much more extreme than this. I think it's pretty clear they are trying to make this situation better.

Ghost_of_MI'm not talking about Drop having a double standard. They actually tried to have the same standard, but the community didn't accept it. Drop - "we used MT for initials both times and the number shows it's a shorter profile" Community - "nah, you just wanted to shit on Matt3o and take all the credit" Community, also - "who is MiTo?"
I'm talking about the double standard of those that defend Matt3o but not MiTo. By coming to the defense of Matt3o they have (probably inadvertently) hurt MiTo.

robert.tmatt3o replied via the latest update on his own website/blog. It looks like he is in a good place & indicated he plans to keep working with Drop. Purchase away!

iamlilysdadI am not a fan of MiTo, as said, I came here for Matt3o.
On a side note : MiTo is one of the most uncreative creators, and is well known to steals ideas and designs from other creators and will never mention them. Taking credit for himself. I will never buy stuffs from a fraud like him.

Hello everyone! I'm looking to join DKC, but I have a few questions. The first day of November has already passed. Will I still get the coupon for November immediately after signing up today (Nov. 10)? What is the definition of Mechanical Keyboard products? Will the coupon apply to desk mats? I believe it should apply to everything listed under this category? For orders under $79, the coupon will be converted to a percentage discount. Work around for firmware/configuration update error "command not recognized"
I spent more than an hour attempting to update my Drop Shift keyboard. I'm not sure what has changed, but I was not able to do it entirely from the Drop website as I had previously done. I have most of the keys configured how I would like, but the default LED function was a very bright, distracting, rainbow wave going across the keyboard. Every time I turned the computer on I had to manually adjust the lights how I liked. Using the online version or the locally installed app, you first have to install the QMK XAP interface. You then have to flash your already configured firmware file, which can be done on the Drop website. If you are logged in your last configuration is saved under your account and you can alter what you like, so you don't have to start from scratch. So, following the instructions I selected the appropriate board, entered bootloader mode, but when attempting to flash the file, I would get an error that the C:/Users/Mike C..... command is not recognized...
