Dream Keyswitches

more_vert
What would be your "ideal" key switch?
What would be the Actuation force?
Would it be clicky or soft?
Would it be loud or quiet?
Would it have LEDs?
Most importantly, what would you use them for?

Boxed Cherry Red-likes. 40-45g 1.5mm actuation, ~120g+ bottom out. Near impossible to bottom out unless you are trying.

Cherry MX Clears, transparent case, lubed, silent...increase the bottom out force from 95 to 110, or more. The Zealios Zilents are the closest I can find, but I don't want to spend that kind of money and not get exactly what I want.

At the moment, 45g Topre switches are my dream switches. But aside from that, I'd say 45g tactile, silenced Hall Effect (MX-compatible) switches would be the dream.

My ideal key switch has a piezoelectric stem allowing me to use force of keystrike and direction to add emphasis and emotion to the font of my message. Being piezoelectric, I can also harvest some energy to power the BT radio.

Halo/Hako Clears with a bit bigger of a bump to them would make me drool.

LevelSteamIf you have access to Halo stems, perhaps you should try try panda or Outemu ice housings to get a bigger tactile bump.
