Hi Steven,
Just noticed an active drop for the Rhodia square, reversible notebook with dot or graph paper. Although a bit pricey, these are excellent notebooks I haven't found available elsewhere for anywhere close to the price being offered.
Probably worth checking out if you have the chance, have the coin and are still looking.
Cheers.

I'll be perfectly honest here. I had no idea Rhodia was even considered a high tier notebook brand. Judging by my personal experiences with one of their products, they were in the upper-low tire at best. Maybe time to give Rhodia a second chance? I'll look into it. :)

They may not be "high tier" whit regards to binding and price (there are better bound notebooks and certainly much more expensive ones out there), however, there are few brands that match the quality of the paper used by Rhodia.

I suppose it depends on how you want to use the notebooks, specifically.
If you use fountain pens, brands like Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Tomoe River, Midori and many others come to mind.
If you want a good notebook for using pencils, Ogami has a rock-solid reputation (sorry, couldn't help myself).
If you want fancy, loose stationary paper, you have have a completely different set to choose from.
I thought of you because of your thread and the idea that, overall, this is good paper from a reliable brand. The dot pattern notebook being offered in this drop is not a common offering and allows for a fair amount of flexibility in terms of usage.
What do you intend to use on the paper? You gave a broad idea of why you wanted the paper but not how, soecifically you'd use it. Do you use fountain pens? Pencils? Paint? These are genuine questions to help us get a better idea of what you're looking for.
As usual, I hope this helps.
Cheers.

@GonzoTGreat gave you a much more comprehensive answer than I. I am guilty of assuming that everyone prioritizes fountain pen performance. If you do not use FPs at all, Rhodia and it's ilk may not, and will not, seem that impressive to you. That said, the current Rhodia drop, and the notebooks I mentioned, were suggested based on your interest in the C&Q.

Well, more specifically, I plan on using a pencil/eraser and maybe a ballpoint pen with this notebook. As much as I love writing with a nice fountain pen, I think it would be outrageous for what my purposes are. Some examples of what I'll write in this notebook from a previous notebook I used similarly are story design diagrams, story boards, number crunching, a math scratchpad, quick sketches, data structure design, control flow diagrams, and maybe an architectural draft or two.
My notebook needs to fulfill a rather wide variety of tasks, most of which benefit from a ruling scheme similar to C&Q or Grids and Guides like @Theroc mentioned. Very little of it will be raw writing, which is where I think that fountain pens really shine, and so I think It would be rather impractical to use one.
So really, while I do want good quality paper, I'm mostly looking for good ruling/guides, a good binding, a large-ish size and quality craftsmanship. (and a hard cover is a good plus too)
Thank you all for your great comments!

Thoughts on Wooden Pens
Hi All, I'd like to know your thoughts an opinions on pens made of wood. Things I'm interested in are shape/contour (and whether or not that is an important factor for you), price, weight, wood type (as well as color, grain structure/density). Also, RIP this community. I'm sure there are better places to buy pens anyways :(

So, uh....the Writing Community is back?
Under the COMMUNITIES menu, Writing is back under My Communities. But it's not showing up under the SHOP menu for me. And it only has one fountain pen for purchasing so far. Is this an error, or is it permanently back?

I look forward to reading your suggestions and sharing any acquisitions I may come across.

I want to start using a fountain pen in school.
I'm in 10th grade and about last month I thought I'd learn cursive writing, I saw how quick I was getting into it and enjoying writing I thought I'd make it more enjoyable. I have about 200 shekels to spend aprox 50$ If anyone could recommend a good fountain pen/kit, I'd appreciate it. I am probably getting a Parker pen soon since I can get it for free, but I want to know what I should look into. Thanks.
