Is the Drop Keycap club worth it? I am not a user who frequently buys stuff from drop except when something like the LOTR collaboration comes up. If the club offers good discount, is it worth it for a user like me? please let me know thanks

Having just renewed my subscription I can say its worth it to a point. Eventually you will hit an upper limit on what makes sense to buy. I have multiple custom keyboards and still struggled to find anything I wanted to use on my latest coupon. It pays for itself pretty quickly if you see a lot of GMK or licensed MT3 sets on here you want to buy, especially if you time it with a sale. There's also the exclusive/early sales but I'm not a big fan of high profile keycaps so the MT3 BOGO events didn't add any value for me. It might not do you much good either since I think LOTR caps are usually excluded. Could be wrong. DKC had a rough start at launch with barely any communication, impossible to track drawings and "exclusive events" but Hoffman and Drop turned it around which shows they're listening to feedback so if you don't see value in it now, it might be worth periodically checking in.

It really just depends on your own interests in the products that Drop currently offers. It's better to evaluate it based on the current products and not potential future projects IMO. For example, I really liked the In-stock keycap options that Drop has and that's the reason I decided to get it. I bought one GMK keycap set a month basically and made my money back and more. Right now, 8 months into my DKC membership, I have saved $140 and I haven't even used all of my coupons. But, that is only because I found products that I initially wanted to buy and it was a no-brainer to save some money along the way. If you don't already see multiple products that you would like to buy on the site right now, then I don't recommend it.
Honestly, if you make 1 or 2 purchases a year, it very well might not be for you. Each month you'll get a coupon for at least $30 off a purchase of $100 or more (or 30% off a purchase below that amount). Since the membership price is currently $50, two purchases of $83 or more (each giving $25 off with 30% off coupon) will break even and the membership pays for itself. For many users that's a no-brainer, but it's not going to be for everyone. (full details here in case you haven't seen that yet) I wouldn't be surprised if you are a bit leery of a response coming from the guy who runs the program though, so I hope some other users chime in with their thoughts. Let me know if you have any questions about it too.
