1st off I currently have & listen and use religiously the "V-MODA Crossfade 3". Those are awesome by my standards. No audiophile. ????lol! I listen to metal,punk, Hardcore. Good stuff. If These have A quality loudness that doesn't break and A sound spectrum that is par. Somebody that has these and isn't gonna nit pic about stuff nobody cares about and knows quality sounds without being a dork please respond.

Rocking out to https://songwhip.com/sepultura/roots-bloody-roots-remastered right at this moment on the Signature X. INTENSE! I have a V-Moda M-100 too… the ultrasone are more comfortable on my ears (though they’re still partially on-ear like the M-100 stock pads), and the Ultrasone have tighter, clearer bass and overall sound, better sense of distance as well. Tighter bass may seem less warm, but it’s still really intense with this metal!
These will scare off people that like studio reference and Harmon Curve tunings, but I’m pretty sure you’re the target audience for this sound 😁

Yes, it would be a move up from the “V”.
The HD 58X will do this for less money.

The “The HD 58X will do this for less money.” part was more trying to say giving better overall sq, not just the low end, at a lower cost. I did get to hear a pair of the ‘X’ version, fun oomph, though still prefer the old 580’s.

rastusWell, the HD 58X jubilee is using a different driver, whereas the old HD 580 from the 90’s was the foundation for the HD 600 (and 650 to follow).
I think most people would agree the Jubilee and the HD 560S significantly raised the bar for the modern HD 500 series (as a tier above the HD 400 series and below the 600, starting with the HD 595), BUT in the 90’s the HD 580 Precision (and other 500 series) were Sennheiser’s dynamic flagships. It’s a piece of history that kind of confuses where the multi-decade discontinued HD 580 stacks up to today’s lineup, but yeah that old one was meant to be top of the line back in those years.
Anyway, I just dialed in the comfort on my Signature X by putting Dekoni Choice Momentum 2 pads on it. Took a bit of stretching! But now there’s just enough diameter opening for my ears to be free, just enough depth for my ear hairs to touch the protective foam screen (but not exert any pressure on my ears themselves), and I wore mine for 6 hours yesterday. The Shure SRH pads were good too, though they brought out a little more bass rumble. I still don’t know if Drop is letting me keep the Signature X, but I’ve been having so much fun that I justified buying an HD 599 balanced cable just to see if it will work with the Signature X (stay tuned! But, I will say the TRRS 2.5mm cable from my HD 599 does actually work flawlessly with the Signature X, despite the stock Ultrasone cable being terminated at the headphone side with an unbalanced TRS 2.5mm plug). If it doesn’t work, I can still use the cable with my Sennheiser’s, but I’m excited to test and show what’s up.

Trying to add Topping LA90D amp to Topping A9D preamp
Any help would be appreciated...I added an amp to my streamer, dac, headphone amp/preamp system and am now not getting any music through the headphone jacks on the preamp - the specifics: Wiim Pro Plus - optical connection to - Topping D50 iii dac - TSR to XLR connection to - Topping A9D headphone amp/preamp (all worked fine as a headphone amp until I tried adding:) - XLR connection to - Topping LA90 D amp. Amp switches are set to bypass, stereo, low gain. In this configuration, I am not getting any music to either my SE or XLR headphone jacks. I made sure I switched the A9D to "preamp" and "xlr" modes. I have no idea what I might be overlooking or missing...any thoughts would be deeply appreciated! Thank you.

Mic not working pc38x
I just got my pc38x in the mail today and the out put is quiet but fine and I'm happy. But the mic will not work when on my Xbox series and I was wondering if this issue can be resolved or if the head set is not compatible with Xbox.
