Cable not working on PC but works on laptop. What can I do to fix it on my PC's side of things?

more_vert
I purchased the DROP YC8 Cable. When I plug my keyboard into my PC, using the DROP cable I purchased, my CPU begins to overheat and in the end crashes my PC. When I use my DROP cable with a laptop and the same keyboard, I run into no issues. I was wondering what the issue might be. I was thinking there might be some power issues with my PC/keyboard? Please help. Here are my specs. NZXT H1 Mini Version 1 AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory Western Digital Blue 500 GB M.2-2280 SATA Solid State Drive ASUS NVIDIA GeForceRTX 3060 12G TUF-RTX3060-O12G-GAMING Triple fan Graphics Card

Hi, sorry this is really late but you were totally right. It was an issue with the case. The built-in water cooler wasn't working. It must have been a coincidence.

I don't know if it might be related, but I have read about some issues with the risers and the NZXT H1 cases.. something about a short to ground on the case.. could be a similar issue you are facing... my recommendation would be to take the pc out of the case and try it that way.. see if you still have issues.
