Does Drop ALT keyboard have KVM support

more_vert
This is probably a long shot but does anyone know if the Alt keyboard has support for KVM usage. Plan on building one for work and I have to use a KVM as I work on two separate systems but want to make sure that it'll function properly when used on a KVM.

Should be fine for KVM usage assuming the USB ports on your KVM are powered (or you are chaining a powered USB hub off for your KVM switch). Your computer will see the ALT as a USB hub with a keyboard connected to it. While not exactly the same, I use a 4x4 USB switch at my work desk to switch all of my USB devices between multiple computers and I haven't had any issues.
jxliuYeah I'm using a Belkin KVM and it didn't work. It gets power but doesn't register any keys. Mind dropping a link to the USB switch you use?

emonteDoes your Belkin KVM support USB hubs? If it doesn't, then that would be the issue since our ALT/CTRL/SHIFT run an internal USB hub to support the downstream USB port. I use the StarTech 4x4 USB sharing switch: https://www.startech.com/en-us/usb-hubs/hbs304a24a I chain two powered USB hubs off of it and use the sharing switch to be able to switch all of it from one computer to another. For display switching, I have all of my computers connected to directly to an LG C1 that I use as my monitor.
