Hey guys I've just got my new Alt yesterday and am already having some teething issues with it. Initially I plugged it in to USB 2.0 standard keyboard port on my work desktop. After using it awhile, the keyboard just goes to sleep and the orange light appears at the bottom. What does that mean? And no keystrokes will work after that unless I unplug and replug my keyboard. So I decided to try using USB 3.0 on my desktop. Incase the reason behind it was that the 2.0 wasn't providing enough power to the kB. I left my desk for a moment to chat to someone for around 5-10 mins. When I came back to my desk my CPU went to sleep which is normal, however the keyboard is now showing the orange light at the bottom and doesn't wake up unless I unplug and replug the cable again. Does anyone have experience with this issue? If so please help. Thanks guys. Happy clacking!

Putting classic Apple keycaps on the CTRL
Back in 2003, Apple released the Apple Wireless Keyboard: (Not to be confused with later keyboards of the same name that look like laptop keyboards.) The keyboard still works with an ancient MacBook Pro, but it won't pair with anything from the 2010s. That's too bad, because I think it looks pretty nice. So I decided to see if I could bring its essence into the 2020s by transplanting the keycaps to my Drop CTRL keyboard. Here on the left is a regular MX style keycap, and to the right one from the AWK2003. Not so different. Until we turn them over: However, the AWK2003 keycap will fit on a Cherry MX style switch, especially a Kailh box switch: But the fit is too loose. However, we can fix that with some teflon tape. Three layers seems to work well: And there it is: the Drop CTRL keyboard with 2003 Apple Wireless Keyboard keycaps: The keycap profile is a bit different, especially on the bottom row, as you...

More GMK sets that a made for TKL, 65% like the GMK Red samurai
I've recetnly purchased the 65% set for the red samurai, and I would really love to order more. However, sets like GMK blue samurai, GMK laser, GMK gaijin, etc. don't have this option. The price for 65% is so good for what I've gotten and I would love to see more of this being implemented for other GMK sets. I would buy way more sets.

Drop ALT: Quality Garbage PCB
Yeah this is what your PCB will look like after a simple hotswap. Yet another garbage pins with even more godawful garbage PCB design. Two pins dead. One, I can trace the godawful traces and solder it. The other, the PCB goes f*ck-god-knows-where and after trying several times, all failed. Don't you just love a spacebar-less keyboard? Absolute quality. And "customer sUpPoRt" won't issue a replacement PCB nor admit fault so here's another f-cking $75 for a brand new Alt PCB which they claim iT iS NoT CoMpAtIbLe just so I can have a goddamn keyboard to use. Consider that the last buck I'll ever give you. Maybe next time hire someone with an actual degree to design your PCBs so people can actually do something with it when your godawful pins fall out which seems like inevitable.
