its a quarter inch or 6.35mm connector usually used for headphone amplifier outputs (probably the most common output on desktop amps) it's not very common for connecting dacs and amps together

Tip(hot), ring(common), sleeve(shield). It's a balanced line level connection that is commonly used in commercial and professional audio applications. Balanced connections are better at blocking outside noise and becoming more common in enthusiast audio products.
