The ASUS AirVision M1 does not have electrically dimming front glasses, instead it is just the glasses itself that has higher transparency.
TaylerSOk, this must refer to the gradient tint, with a 60% density at the darkest part of the tint. Pretty good, especially if the lenses are polycarbonate plastic (which doesn’t tint as dark, but it’s a lighter and tougher material, good for smart glasses) instead of CR39 plastic (which can tint darker, but it’s heavier and easier to scratch, cheaper). I have a blackout shade for my XR glasses, but I’ve not really felt like I needed them. I like the “reality +” nature of XR glasses as compared to the isolation (and sometimes, surprise!) of full enclosure VR, but that’s a personal preference for each user. Kinda like open back headphones vs closed ANC headphones.

The listing on the Asus website shows it comes with a light shield, but doesn't show that the lenses are dimmable. Assuming the spec refers to that, it's either 0% or 60%...
