First Full Custom KB Build
Everyone has to start somewhere, and I started here.
I've done my share of pre-built KBs and as I'm sure many of us here have noticed none are perfect. The keycaps are good but the keys are flaccid. The keys are good but the backboard is iffy.
Building a full board is something I look forward to typing on. A combination of lubed Panda keys and dual-injection MT3 caps provide a muted feedback that's like laying back in a broken-in leather couch.
The only downside being it doesn't want for rapid typing. The key cap design requires more "lift" than a flatter key, and the keys while fluid seem...laggy.
overall a solid 4/5 overall.

College themed keyboard
My wife wanted a keyboard that is themed after her college colors. It was exhausting/fun searching around for options. This hobby has expanded so much that the options are almost endless. I settled on the Daring Run DR-70f, Gateron EF Curry Linear Switches and DROP DCX Sapphire. She was very happy with the end result and most importantly, I got to build another keyboard. I love the layout of the Daring run and it was crazy affordable! Think I might take on the Flip 6 next.

HHKB layout keyboards that are Cherry MX hot-swappable
I see on Drop that the Tokyo 60 keyboard is rarely available. There is something in kit-packaging but not in black as I would love it. I love the HHKB layout to the point that I am configuring my ALT keyboard and my Hexgear Gemini as close as possible to it. But I struggle with keycaps due to the "backspace" and "|" swaps that the keycap sets on drop do not support. Why is Tokyo60 so rare on drop? What are the alternatives to it?

Best sounding switches and Keycap profile
Hi Everyone, I just bought my first mechanical keyboard (Wooting 80HE) and ordered the Geon Raws HE after watching a few YouTube videos—they sounded great. However, on my keyboard, they sound clacky as hell, and I actually prefer the Lekker 60 V2! They’re much quieter and sound better (in my opinion). Right now, I’m using the PCR case because my Zinc case won’t arrive for another month (mid-March). Do you think that’s why the Geon Raws HE sound so off? I’m considering getting the Jades Pro, but I don’t want to waste more money on switches if it’s not necessary. Should I wait for the Zinc case and then decide? What would you do or recommend for someone who prefers thocky or silent keyboards? I also have a question about keycaps. I’m struggling with typing—I’m used to working all day on an MX Keys S, but with the Wooting keyboard, I keep pressing multiple keys at once. Adjusting has been tough. Can you recommend a keycap profile that might help? Would DSA work, or do you have other...

Help with picking a keyboard
Hi guys! I have been using a common 100% membrane keyboard for quite some time and now want to try a mechanical one. So I am looking for a reliable normal profile 75%/TKL keyboard, wired, RGB is ok but not required, with the ability to swap keycaps/switches in feature in case I want to try new ones, on a budget of around 100$, 150$ max. The main use will be coding and gaming. I like the smooth (non-bright) colors like electro-blue or creamy. Linear or tactile switches are okay, I believe. Not sure about about choosing case materials, plate, and mounting. If you have any articles about picking these, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
