Best in-ear headphones under $100?

more_vert
Hey everybody, I'm new here! I've recently been looking to upgrade my headphone game, and I need a little advice. I don't have the money right now to commit to a really nice pair of over-ears, so I'm looking for a good in-ear option for under $100. I've found a lot of great reviews of the 1MORE Triple Drivers (linked below), and I wanted to get an opinion on if they're as good as the reviews say, or if there's something else out there that's better. My music tastes consist mainly of classical, soundtrack, and alternative rock, so I generally want something pretty versatile. Thanks in advance!

I've heard the triple drivers, they are not bad. However, you can get the Fiio Ex1 gen II at around that price which stumps the triple drivers in sonic performance- they have cleaner, smoother and more extended treble with a larger soundstage and tighter bass. 1More's 1M301 gives most of the triple driver's good at a fraction of its price.

I'm not familiar with the 1MOREs. That said I am very happy with my pair of HiFiman RE400s (or RE400i/RE400a if you want in-line controls). https://www.musicdirect.com/headphones/hifiman-re-400-in-ear-headphones
I use these everyday at my office, and they are very neutral and accurate. I think they will play nice with genres you mentioned. Not a go to pair for hard driving bass, although bass is clear and refined. With a good seal in your ears there can be added bass extension.
Hope this helps and happy listening.
