I've tried to make a brand new keyboard (Ergofip) with someone who was not professional enough. I've lost $13000 and I'm with a 80% finished prototype (and I programmed it myself for 90% whereas is was supposed to be Damien's part). My biggest regret is here: I should have dumped him as soon as I saw how incompetent he was. I've removed him from all the pages and now the ones you can see on the Ergofip page are very good at work - but not electronics. I know that everything is going for RGB and 100% customizable, and ergonomic keyboard (google "Microsoft keyboard", go on the #1 link on the microsoft website and watch the keyboard that comes first). The K-Type that is just out here is the POC: over 1500 sales... and it's not ergonomic (I do criticize but I've bought it anyway).
I've lost one year of evenings in my life and $12000 for this (and I still believe my configurator is very user-friendly for RGB keyboards).
So the biggest lesson I've learned - even though it seems obvious for a lot of people: as soon as you see a partner not actually implied, drop him, otherwise the more you wait the more you'll loose time and money.

TheSkeletonThanks a lot for the compliment. That's what they all told me, including 4 people who asked me for a partnershiop to be exclusive resellers all around the world. But no one but me could actually test the keyboard. That's why the project failed.
