Alas I only have two pairs of headphones, my Beyerdynamic DT770 Studio Pro 80 Ohms (home use) and Sony MDR-XB950B1's (portable use) so you should already know which one's I'm going to choose. And it's not the Sony's. (Currently waiting for my new HE 4XX's so let's see what happens once they arrive). All three will be driven by an iFi Nano iDSD Black Label. Edit: Of course less than a week later the line out plug for the Nano stops working. (I only get output from the left speaker and changing the plug and line in jacks of my receiver didn't do anything.) Now I own the XDuoo XD-05 which holy sh*t it's like night and day. I'll be keeping the Nano but just as a really cheap DAC/headphone amp for my tablet. At least until the headphone jack breaks.

wdappioI have the Dt770 80ohm as well. It is sensational for the money and hard to upgrade from. I also have akg 701s which give a very different dynamic, and some final audio pandora hope vi which kind of bridge the gap. The Final Audios are amazingly exciting/ lively but tiring after a while. I keep coming back to the dt770s

HeardandsceneI tried the AKG's which to me sounded a bit on the brighter side, before I decided on the DT's. The Beyer's also had a better sound stage and imaging than the AKG's, and for less than half the price at the time. Plus the build quality of the DT's is also IMHO a lot better than the AKG's. Glad I picked the right ones.

wdappioYeah they're great. The AKGs are fab also, particularly for music with a broader soundscape, but they don't rock like the Beyer's.
