I've been looking at getting myself a watch winder, and although Drop offers quite a few WOLF options, it doesn't look like they offer the newer Axis collection at the moment.
What are your thoughts on it? Here's the WOLF website page as well as a double winder review from WatchDavid. I really like the copper, but I'm not sure it would go with a lot of watches considering the colour contrast, so if I were to buy one I think I'd go with the powder coat finish.
I have also created a poll - if it gets enough interest, I would hope that Drop would consider it as an option to negotiate with WOLF for a future drop - see my tweets with Drop here.
The link to the poll is here. Thanks for reading!
Today’s Wrist-Check is the Orient Bambino 2nd Gen Version I Automatic Model FAC00005W0
Around June 2019 my wife while traveling abroad bought me an Orient Capital V2. It’s a beautiful black dial domed crystal dress watch with roman numerals and a blacked-out date window. Orient is one of those watches that’s been on my list for years and I was surprised when my wife chose it for me. The S.I.P. (shelter-in-place) has me spending money on Amazon like a reckless young adult burning through his trust fund, and a few days ago I pulled the trigger on this Orient Bambino 2nd Gen Version 1 automatic. With a white sunburst dial this automatic is a beautiful dress watch that will help build-up my growing collection of dress watches.

Today’s Wrist-Check is my new Casio GA-2110SU-3AJF. It’s 1 of 3 Casio’s watches I just purchased.
About two years ago a co-worker and I were talking about beater watches. During the conversation I realized that outside of a few analog watches that linger at the bottom of my watch collection I really didn’t own a beater. I decided I needed to add a fun beater watch to my collection. I settled on the Casio GA-2110SU-3AJF. I originally wanted the black version with white hour markers but that one proved to be hard to find at a fair price. My 3AJF OD green version was about $110 with free shipping and ended up being the better choice. But that wasn’t enough - I also picked up a DW5610SU as a tribute to a few of my earlier G-Shocks which I let go of many years ago. And finally the CA-53W, a calculator watch similar to what I remember wanting desperately but never owned from the mid 80’s rounded out the trio.
The resin straps on the 2120SU and 5610SU were replaced...
Does anyone else have interest in the Hamilton Khaki Field “Murph” from Interstellar. Seems like a great watch, but a little tough to swallow at nearly double the price of a regular khaki field.
I would like to get your attention to Polish brand Balticus - what would you say to organize a drop of their Gray Seal or Star Dust watches? In Poland they are very appreciated. Especially as for the such a young company.
Great watches, beautifully made with good mechanizm.
Let me know what do you think.
I haven't seen a Pepsi bezel diver out there worth anything other than the Rolex and Seiko. Seems like a Squale 1545 with a blue and red bezel would be perfect for a Massdrop special- Squale doesn't make one, but if enough people are interested, I bet they'd do a limited run. I don't have a Squale yet and haven't seen them here yet- anyone else interested? I'd like to knock two birds down with one stone- grab a Squale 1545 and a Pepsi bezel watch at the same time.
