There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The information given with movement might help you to find parts, vintage or new old stock.
If you post a picture of the movement or have any questions I'll try to help you learn more things...
If you're willing to risk losing money you might find nice vintage watches at low price needing TLC (tenderness, love and care) that will look great without or after servicing. I had success with late 1960s and early 1970s watches.
With Seiko you can find out not only the year, also the month it was built. So you can find one built in the month you were born!
Have fun collecting watches.
