Throughout my time as an audiophile I've read quite a lot of positive reviews regarding the DT880 Pro, especially the 600 ohms version, I've seen it being highly praised for it's build quality, comfort and sound, however there is one fault I'd point out: no removable cables.
As much as the DT880 Pro is marketed towards professional usage ( at least that's what I think, given the "Pro" in it's name ) it is adored by the audiophile community, thus I'd love to see a more audio-enthusiast focused version which only difference would be having a removable cable with a 3.5mm connector on each cup. I reckon the benefits would be quite sizeable : you wouldn't be confined to the 3m cable of the original version; it'd possible to run it balanced (which would help with the endeavour of properly amplifying the 600 ohms version); should the cable fail due to an accident or the throes of time dealing with it would be much simpler and , finally, if you are part of Team...
How to restore the original EQ settings to Drop Pandas after the SoundID firmware update
So I bought myself a set of these fancy Drop Panda headphones second hand off of eBay (for half the new price). They sounded fantastic but I thought "I'll just upgrade the firmware and try out this SoundID thing."
I update the firmware and I go through the "preferences" and the "hearing test" and I think "wow this is fancy, it should make my amazing headphones sound even more amazing."
After the update and setting up "SoundID" now my fancy headphones sound like hot garbage.
"Maybe I did it wrong" I thought. So I went through the "preferences" and the "hearing test" again, really carefully, to make sure I did everything as instructed.
Still sounds like garbage. Maybe my hearing preferences are just bad? I don't know. All I know is my headphones sounded great right out of the box, but after the SoundID was installed and the profile was uploaded my headphones sounded like trash.
So I spent several hours pushing buttons on the terrible app's terrible user interface and...
So I bought the pc38s which sound amazing compared to all I have used prior, but no matter what I try, I can not get the mic working on my pc! It works fine when plugged into a controller for console, but simply wont on the pc. I own msi ge75 raider, it has two ports, one for headset, one for the mic! The cords that come with the headset are split into two, each is the 3 pin I think (TRS)... Maybe the port on the computer requires 4 pin or what else can I try?
Thank you in advance!
