How can I get the Fostex t50/40/20rp for less than the current market value right now?
I want to do a really cool t50rp mod and I checked Amazon, eBay, Hifishark, and more. Every time I just find the price of the t50rp way too high new or used in these places, is there another way I could ascertain this headphone below the price of $80 USD used? Or is this just a matter of waiting for the market to let them drop in price? Have a great day everyone!
Just got a Khadas Tone Pro 2, currently running it through my liquid spark via the raspberry pi to my Drop/Dan Clark Audio Aeon closed backs and oh my goodness. The TP2 is an amazing little device btw, I don’t know how great the amp in it is, it drives the Aeons decently, but man is it packed with features, highly recommend.
Looking for some inspiration or suggestions for small rack furniture or a little cabinet. Something that works well with a stack of these little 9" wide-ish components! Maybe on wheels, so it's easy to wheel around as a headphone listening station. Something minimal, but with some cable management and a place to hide a power bar (like on the back) Anyway, show me your setups! :)
I don't know if this is the right way to post this, but I saw that Drop has a page for Ifi iTube2, where you can request that they make it. But what is the status of it? Is it an old project reborn, or is it a new, yet not realized one? https://drop.com/ifi-micro-itube2-vacuum-tube-buffer-and-preamplifier/p Asking, of course, since I would be very interested.
Hi... I'm a songwriter/producer. I have Drop Senn HD6xx HPs. I just bought a Topping L30 II SE HP amp to enhance my monitoring. It honestly sounds pretty good. The audio interface I'm using (an Audient iD22) has balanced outs. For those of you who've listened to the HD6xx using balanced amps and cables, do you think I should invest in that kind of setup to take advantage of the Senns potential?
Just joined, I am a fan of FiiO, and Shure SE series Earphones.
I have used Shure earphone for over 10 years and FiiO DAC/Amp's for almost as long. primarily with my iPhones and BT. With Apple finally going to the USB C connection I can connect my FiiO BTR7, and BTR15 up with a direct DAC connection. I plugged the BTR7 into my Mac Studio with my Shure SE-535's. I was astounded by the sound. At this point I realized that a desktop DAC/Amp was a necessity because these FiiO portable DAC/Amp do not really have to power for headphones. FiiO makes powerful desktop DAC/Amps but I am looking at what is out there. I used to run ASUS Xonar Essence DAC/Amps but they are not longer made. I will lurk and learn.
I am having a problem with my PC38X with Xbox X. My first headset was and is the SteelSeries Arctis 7X+ and when playing online with others, they are able to hear me. When I switch over to the PC38X (plugged into the Xbox wireless controller), they are not able to hear me. I can switch back and forth between the two headsets, and they hear me immediately with the 7X+ and then can't hear me the second I switch over to the PC38X. The Xbox software shows in the controller settings that the headset mic is set to on, and I have mic monitoring turned all the way up and can hear myself talking into the mic. But even while hearing my mic'd voice say "Testing, can you hear me?" they tell me they can't. Is there anything I'm forgetting to set?
