Monday morning wrist check: my trusty beater Invicta. Runs great with the Seiko movement and is comfortable. And that for a mere $95,-

I have one, wore it today. I got it for $83 at Amazon, and it's about that at Jomashop, but on Prime Day I was shocked to see it at sub-$50 on Amazon. I wear this when gardening or cooking.

Wow! That’s great! Beautiful watch. I have an older model I posted a few weeks ago. I didn’t know much about the brand. I really like yours and I love Barton bands as I have a few myself. Great combination.

The thing that's concerned me all the time I've owned mine is that I'm almost certain there's a haze of some kind on the underside of the crystal--not a finger print, but a film that wasn't cleaned off properly before assembly. It's not visible all the time, but it annoys the shit out of me none the less. One day, I'll order another one...

BTW if you want something else than Invicta for roughly the same price (quartz), but with sapphire and 300m you should look at Phoibos. Another microbrand that seems to get positive reviews too. Even their quartz offering has sapphire...

Everyday is 8926 Day! I've had mine for more than ten years and it still runs/looks like new. Did I mention the hacking / winding automatic Seiko movement? Lately I went looking for the next size up (8926s are 40mm at the bezel, but only 30mm wide at the crystal, with a 20mm lug width, making them "read" smaller than they look). What did I find? Invicta's new-ish 3044 Grand Diver. Looks okay from afar until you discover it's about the size of a medium pizza (actually 47mm) and is even more resplendent in the embellishments Invicta haters love to hate (the three little hardhat diver emblems will make them especially crazy). Sans the emblems and after letting some of the air out of the tire (down to say a reasonable 42-44mm case size) it wouldn't be a bad upgrade. Unfortunately for 8926 lovers, Invicta still seems hell bent on pushing the limits of TOO DAMN BIG!

Pity...
