There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Q: What do you do at Massdrop? A: I am the Community Content and Social Media Manager. Content manager for short. I handle basically anything that we do on our site and on our social platforms when it comes to content. I'm virtually brand new to the team, but I've been here for two and half months. Time flies when you're having fun.
Q: What do you like most about working at Massdrop?
A: The people. And I mean that inside and outside of the office. It's very familial at Massdrop and it's a pleasure just showing up to work, but there's also loads of amazing people in the communities themselves. I'm starting to get more directly involved with our communities and interacting with everyone has been awesome.
Q: How did you get into tech?
A: I've always been intrigued and fascinated with everything tech. I took apart VCR's when I was a kid, and nowadays I'm just trying to keep up with the internet of things. Tech evolves so fast and that's what continuously retains my interest. I look forward to a day where contact lenses can project things into our augmented reality, but for now I'll settle for wireless charging and smart bulbs.
Q: What are some of your favorite products in that community?
A: I'm constantly blown away by microSD cards. Having grown up in the early 90's to see something the size of your thumbnail hold up to 256GB is amazing. That, and I like smart lighting. I just ordered some smart LED strip lighting that I'm going to have some fun with at home.
Q: What are some of your other hobbies/interests?
A: I love bike touring. My wife and I, and sometimes a few of our friends, will pack up a few nights worth of camping gear on our bikes and travel 40-ish miles out of town in any direction and spend a weekend on the road. Great way to get away from it all.
