ShoobdaLoobNice set up. My headphone setup is very similar to yours and I'm well past university. If it puts a smile on your face then its great

HIHPI think they're not bad; for the 300 dollar mark they're pretty good studio monitors that are useful when editing video. Musically they are very neutral and revealing as a good studio monitor should be. Nothing musical or anything too special. I would recommend looking into older speakers or specific speakers designed for musicality rather than precision.
Considering those variables, I would recommend something like swans powered speakers or even jbl lsr305. To be honest, I would have purchased yamaha hs5's but they have a rear firing bass port and because of that I opted out. The only other option around my budget was the krk rockit, and they didn't really appeal to me sonically or look-wise. I like understated objects and the krk's are just a bit too flamboyant for me. I would say check out the klipsh r-15pm, or the audioengine hd3 (sounds different from the horrendous a5+, thank god!). I also read that emotiva airmotion speakers are also very good for a cheap price point, especially considering the ribbon tweeter design.
That's my two cents anyway. Have fun and enjoy your music. Those are the two most important factors to be honest.

ShoobdaLoobWhen will people learn that ssd raid does not improve game loading. Also 32gb of ram is way overkill for a gaming rig.
