je11yWhat speakers are you blowing with those Carvers? I love my Carvers very much.

TiffanyPoodleslideThe Carver is powering a pair of Elac UB5s and a Cerwin Vega 10" sub which is set up on the other side of the room adjacent to the shelf here. It really drives the Elacs nicely. Which Carver goodies are you annoying your neighbors with?
je11yI also have a TFM 35,(for my bigger room, driving a nice set of Polks), and TFM 6C,(in the smaller room between my phonograph and some Celestions just now). Carvers are AWESOME, provided one keeps the guts running well.

TiffanyPoodleslideAgreed, they are great as long as they are maintained- unfortunately most I've seen in the wild were not kept well. In addition to the awesome power and sound of the TFM-35, I love using the sonic hologram gimmick on the CT-17. When set up just right, it really does enhance soundstage and imaging.
je11ywe shall have to give one of those a whirl someday.
Isn't it sad that some of the nicest, bestest engineered gear around goes so sadly to waste? And these ninnies on eBay want mucho dinero for junked/decayed Carvers that may never be viable again.
