Well... on Traska's website the stainless bezel look much darker, closer to grey color. Thanks for posting your picture. I'll take the black bezel probably... cheers

Thanks for the second picture. I think I Iike the black bezel more. How would you rate the overall quality? I just ordered the Trifoglio, missed the Helm Komodo (damn!) and thinking between the Aevig Corvid and mint Traska. Aevig is now on the lead but only due to low inventory...I like them both

ElkyQuality is good for the price point, maybe even above average. A good person to ask would be @kpjimmy - he owns a Traska and a Aevig. Overall I've been really happy with the Traska, but I can't speak to an Aevig other than photos I've seen.

Vintage1982Benz@Elky Hey guys. Yes I own both. And I think Elky has mentioned he wanted to get one or the other in the past times I posted my wrist checks. The SS bracelet and case of the Traska has the anti scratch coating that makes it look a bit darker than a normal SS watch. But you can't really tell unless you compare it along with other watches off the bat. Is it darker? Not really IMO. The Aevig...where do I start? Chip has a keen eye when it comes to design. I even have the Corvid Kvartz watch back in the day. That was the first micro I have ever ordered. Since then, the battery has died but as you see I have "upgraded" to the automatik full lume. Comparing each is like asking a parent which child you like better lol. That's a really really hard call. I also have another Aevig, the Huldra as well and that design and watch has stood the test of time. So many people ask me if I want to sell it lol. To me it's the perfect diver. A perfect neo-retro diver in a sense. As for the Traska, well that is just a plain fun watch to wear. Smaller than both Aevigs actually, so there's that. It fits a bit better on my smaller wrists. Sorry can't help much. But I can post more pics of each! lol.

kpjimmyThanks for your opinion. I do follow your posts here on MD. This is the origin of knowing the brand Aevig in the first place. Like said previously I will go for the Aevig in the first place as they are running out on their webpage. Don't want to miss it like I did with the Helm. I do wonder about one thing: you said that Traska is smaller buy when I compare the size both Aevig Corvid and Traska are 40mm cases. Is it than a subjective feeling? Corvid with the crown at 2 o'clock should actually wear smaller... or do I get something wrong?

ElkySorry it's based off of subjective feeling because the Corvid is all dial and no bezel, where the Traska has the dive bezel to make the dial smaller, in a sense make the watch "feel" smaller. Sorry didn't intend to confuse you. Either watch will make you grin when wearing it. The Corvid makes me grin whenever I see the full lume dial activated at dusk. The Traska makes me grin whenever I see the minty dial along with those cool indices. So yeah...really can't go wrong with either really.
