I am a retired electrical/mechanical engineer. US Coast Guard graduate. Sailed the high seas as Merchant Marine for 13 years. Briefly worked with NASA for 5.5 years in Florida. I left to start my own Hi-Tech Computer company. My company did anything and everything with computers and computer systems. We were especially known for our Graphics and Gaming computers we built. We built to order Bespoke systems. We were very proud of our workmanship. My company was in operation for almost 27 years. I still build for myself and my family members. I am 74 years old now.
Audio Visual has been my lifelong hobby. I love reading Hard science fiction; an example would be the Author Brandon Q. Morris. I like listening to books also.
I play few games however, I am addicted to Star Citizen. I do try other games like Alien Isolation, Elite Dangerous, and EVE Online.

How to restore the original EQ settings to Drop Pandas after the SoundID firmware update
So I bought myself a set of these fancy Drop Panda headphones second hand off of eBay (for half the new price). They sounded fantastic but I thought "I'll just upgrade the firmware and try out this SoundID thing."
I update the firmware and I go through the "preferences" and the "hearing test" and I think "wow this is fancy, it should make my amazing headphones sound even more amazing."
After the update and setting up "SoundID" now my fancy headphones sound like hot garbage.
"Maybe I did it wrong" I thought. So I went through the "preferences" and the "hearing test" again, really carefully, to make sure I did everything as instructed.
Still sounds like garbage. Maybe my hearing preferences are just bad? I don't know. All I know is my headphones sounded great right out of the box, but after the SoundID was installed and the profile was uploaded my headphones sounded like trash.

So I bought the pc38s which sound amazing compared to all I have used prior, but no matter what I try, I can not get the mic working on my pc! It works fine when plugged into a controller for console, but simply wont on the pc. I own msi ge75 raider, it has two ports, one for headset, one for the mic! The cords that come with the headset are split into two, each is the 3 pin I think (TRS)... Maybe the port on the computer requires 4 pin or what else can I try?
Thank you in advance!
