for details and soundstage, nothing beat hd800 (not 800s), but need proper amp. Overall quality, honestly most people would go for arya

I own both Arya and HD800s. For soundstage width HD800s is bigger but Arya has more depth range as it can sound intimate and wide depending upon the music. Also Arya has taller soundstage and sound big / grand. For details both are good but presentation is different, HD800s has in your face kind of detail whereas Arya has detail but it present it in more pleasing manner which is easier to listen.

I have all three. The Arya and Ananda are definitely below the HD800(s), in terms of technicalities, build quality, reliability, comfort, and brand. The Arya especially has very bad build and not made to last.

I've both here at home and used the Ananda for nearly a year. It's a great can at everything, even at soundstage. Interesting i was asking me the same and got a brand new HD800s for around 1100 bucks. I couldn't resist it. After some days of ownership and a/b comparing i am to sell my Ananda. Short answer, yes, it is worth it for me, absolutely! The only thing the Ananda has is a deeper reaching low end due to obvious advantages of planar technology in this regard. But the Sennheiser 800s is no slouch here too, with a extremely well textured low end which is very fast (i'm on solid state amp). In all other areas HD800s is clearly better. This is the most transparent, most detail retrieving can i've heard and i don't think it can get (much) better than this. Imagine this world of details painted in the largest room you'll probably hear on headphones and that's the hd800s like. Highly recommend it!

The Arya is not at hd800 level.

HD 800 is the best I’ve heard for soundstage (not HD 800 S. I bought a used pair on eBay and replaced the pads.
That's a question only the individual making the purchase can answer.
