“I’m all for progress, but I hate change.” Massdrop is a unique title. It’s a well known name at this point. Reminds me of Dunkin Donuts, except nobody cared because Dunkin is still identifiable and basically works with their mega add campaign, “America runs on Dunkin.” ”Drop” is not catchy in the least. It doesn’t define the experience for anyone outside of the community, does it? Honestly, the title of Massdrop appealed to me when I signed up because the community aspect was apparent in the title. I know of businesses that don’t sell headphones locally anymore because of the online success of sites like Massdrop, but watching a community grow and help bring high quality audio and technology into many people’s lives has been wonderful.
