Changing the name to drop can really make a splash. With renewed understanding of what the company is and/or clearly becoming, this is a great opportunity for additional promotions, outreach and publicity. It’s a golden opportunity to strengthen relationships with the existing community - especially those not employed who have made a positive difference.* You have years of real world understanding of what has and hasn’t worked. Reintroducing yourselves to your full membership (including those who have lapsed) may bring the return of the prodigal customer and entice a demographic you are better able to target. Alternatively, if the company doesn’t make an effort for reintroduction, the Drop could result in barely a ripple with few people appreciating the transition. A missed opportunity. For example, email updates still say they are from MassDrop. When will that change? Anything special planned to capitalize on your brief window of renewed novelty and heightened excitement? Humor is part of many of my posts. But unless it’s extremely, clearly part of a joke, I offer my suggestions, comments and questions with sincerity. What say you? -G. ps. Lots of editing immediately after posting for typos, grammar corrections and clarity. pps. * = I’m referring to many members, in virtually every community, who have gone above and beyond.

PundamiliaAfter a few additional proof-reads (including 2 out loud), I can't find it. Where is it in the post and the immediate context? That might help me find it. Thanks.

GonzoTGreatReading out loud would not have helped. I was referring to your sentence: "End of naval gazing." I think what you meant to say was: "End of navel gazing."

PundamiliaOn further reflection and a reread, I decided to chuck the paragraph entirely and add a short footnote. And you’re right, as someone who tries to be accurate, I should have done a better job with the spellcheck.
