I was an unbeliever until I purchased a Ganzo FH11 with the G-10 overlaid with carbon fiber. I was amazed at its smooth action so I opened it up. WOW!! Ball bearings in races. Sure it had some sharp edges here and there that needed to be eased with a diamond file, but holy cow what a knife for under $30. The added plus is that it’s got a D2 steel blade, real D2! I love D2 steel. It’s a good working mans steel that holds a solid edge. Like the author, I have knives from all over the world. The Ganzo line of D2 steel bladed knives hasn’t gotten near the attention they deserve. As a result of taking apart that FH11, I now own the FH21,FH31,FH41 and the FH51. They sit alongside my Spyderco knives from Seki Japan. My Benchmades from the USA. My Bokers from Germany. My Cold Steels from Taiwan. My Italian stilletos. My Swiss Army knives. My Puuko’s and Mora’s from Finland. Not to mention the Philippine, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, UK, Scotland, Czech Republic, Russian knives as well as others made in various other nations around the world. I’m not a huge collector. But I like good quality knives and I don’t really care where they come from. Bang for the buck is what I’m after. The Ganzo brand delivers that in spades.
