Ganzo G738 In the manner of many Ganzos, this looks a hell of a lot like a very well known Western knife -- most would say in this case that the G738 is a slightly smaller copy of the Benchmade Barrage, except doing it the whole Ganzo way with less expensive materials and at a tiny fraction of the price.

There's fairly little to distinguish this model from the typical Ganzo 'G-Lock' clone. They all look like Western knives, but tend to feel more like other Ganzos than the original knife -- rugged and dependable, but not quite as nice in the hand. This is what it looks like broken down:

Minor point -- this model is a little easier to mess around with than some G-Locks because the post is adjustable from both sides, which makes it a lot easier to put the knife together when it comes time to get the axis lock together and the scales in place. This was a knife I took apart mostly as part of my ongoing experiments in dyeing G10 handles different personalized colors. I was hoping to see the hunter orange end up more of a tangerine tone. Did it do that?

Not quite. More like a blood orange.

I mean, you can see the difference, and I do kind of prefer this look, but not enough to go around doing it to the rest of my orange handled knives.
