My $6 Solution

more_vert
Recently purchased a zippered travel case designed to accommodate three reasonably-sized dive watches--or so I thought. In practice I discovered the diameter of the supplied inserts were far too narrow to properly secure any of the bracelets on my watches--that left them all loose and floating around in the case with nothing to prevent them from banging into one another--not exactly what I was hoping for! Solution: I purchased one of those kid's swim-noodle-floats and sliced off three custom-fit inserts. The floats come in assorted diameters and I was able to find one that was just a tad larger than my average adjusted bracelet size. The foam compresses slightly as each bracelet clasp is snapped shut, leaving everything nice and tight and well-secured from movement in the case--no more shake, rattle and roll!

The too-small grey inserts as supplied, and the orange slices I cut from a five-foot swim float.
The foam is very easy to cut with a kitchen knife. I'll probably use the rest of it to fashion some kind display/storage case for the rest of the collection. Can't beat six-bucks and a perfect fit ;- )

Sorry, but I have to ask. Do you dive or just like dive watches? If you dive, do you wear the dive watches as your everyday watch as well?

mcloseYou're not suggesting there is a classification of watches, other than divers, are you? No, not a diver. Just into dive/tool watches since I was a kid (possibly earlier). Prefer them for their durability and looks--water resistance is just a plus.
Great idea, but $6? They sell the pool noodles at the dollar store.
I didn't realize your noodle was so special. Please accept my apology.

That Samurai looks good with a Hexad Oyster bracelet. How can I suggest that product?

simoncpuFirst, thanks--and second, damned if I know! Seems the few Seikos that do show up around here are never the latest or the greatest. Just guessing, but I suppose that's because Seikos like Samurais are selling just fine without MD's help?

Darn, you pulled off what I call a "Lifehacker" aka "McGyver" there! In fact Iḿ going to copy that solution because I have few cases that can double as watchcase once they have these nifty noodles to hold the actual watches! Stellar!
